Vidant Medical Center is a 900+ bed Level-1 Trauma Center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Vidant Medical Center provides acute, intermediate, rehabilitation and outpatient services to more than 1.4 million people in 29 counties. Position Summary

  • Plans, organizes and schedules work.
  • Performs administrative functions.
  • Troubleshoots difficult problems if necessary.
  • Plans and designs air conditioning and heating maintenance schedules.
  • Trains new employees.
  • Evaluates performance of Team Members.
  • Counsels Team Members.
  • Uses special purpose testing equipment, measures or tools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or education in Heating and Air Conditioning required.
  • More than 5 years but less than 6 years in maintenance experience involving heating and air conditioning systems of which 2 years must have been in a supervisory level.
  • Additional experience beyond the required 5 years may substitute for the 2 years additional education with a maximum substitution of 2 years.

Other Information

  • 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday with on call.
