Job Description

Position Summary

Assist in providing direct quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.  Participates in the assessment of patients.  Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating/revising the plan of care.  Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote and professional development.  Develops leadership role within the LPN scope of practice. 

Minimum Requirements

• High School plus less than 1 year of formal training or education  Specify: LPN Diploma
• North Carolina LPN Licensure or evidence of application for endorsement and holding temporary LPN licensure
• American Heart Association CPR certification; exposure and practice of medication administration from educational preparation and student clinical practice
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support  Certification
