Vidant Bertie Hospital is a six-bed critical access state-of-the-art facility located in Windsor, North Carolina that provides surgical, emergency and diagnostic services, specialty clinics and primary care clinics. Our primary care physician practice operates the Vidant Family Medicine - Windsor and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. The Emergency Medicine Physicians see approximately 30 patients per day, as well a cover the 6 inpatient beds during nights and weekends. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region.

Position Summary

Under the clinical supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Mammographer provides safe, expedient, cost-effective Radiology services. As a member of a team of health care professionals, a Mammographer is responsible for the operation of the mammography imaging equipment and for performing examinations, quality control of the equipment and follow up of positive mammograms. The Mammographer demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age, disease process and cultural/spiritual needs of the patient in a variety of clinical settings. Mammographers behave in a manner consistent with the standards and ethics of all health care professionals. The Mammographer must maintain a high standard of ethics while providing quality patient care. Rotate holiday coverage.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate Degree

• Zero to two years related experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
