We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Position Summary

Handle all AP Lab communications - (procedure request, results requests, consult requests, additional stain/study requests. Verify each pathology specimen CPT code, adds all immunostain charges. Pulls slides for pathologist review, tumor board review and 2nd opinion review.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School + 1-2 yrs of formal training/education as a Medical Assistant or related is required.
  • 1 year to 3 years experience in a laboratory, physician office or nursing unit is required.

Other Information

  • Full time with benefits
  • During the training period the hours will be M-F 0830-1700 then it will transition to four 10 hour shifts 0730-1800
