The Staff Physical Therapist is a licensed physical therapist who is responsible for evaluating, planning, and
implementing treatment programs for his/her assigned physical therapy patients. He/She assists with administrative work
in the absence of the Director or as assigned by the Director. He/She works and maintains job competence to provide
care ranging from neonates to the elderly population by maintaining continuing education and experience in all related
Accurately evaluate individual patients who have been referred to Physical Therapy.
Plan and develop Physical Therapy programs for individual patients following established Physical Therapy protocols where appropriate.
Administer physical therapy treatments in a professional and friendly manner.
Competent in providing treatments to a variety of patients.
When an established protocol is not available for a particular diagnosis/patient, the therapist will develop a detailed plan of care which is able to be clearly followed by other staff.
Assesses patient progress and revise treatment procedures as indicated.
Consult with and communicate pertinent data to other health professionals involved with the patients' care.
In consultation with patient's physician and other health care professionals, determines whether the patient requires continued physical therapy services or a maintenance level of care by trained caregivers or other professionals..
Able to coordinate patient care for efficient use of time with productivity and expectations.
Communication with the physician as indicated to develop and implement new protocols for our facility
Initial evaluation performed on all patients and documentation is thorough in content.
Notes are thorough and include the patients' response to treatments and progress towards established goals.
Notes are thorough and allow continuity of care between therapists.
Documentation is to meet and exceed the standard set by our licensure board, regulatory agencies, and insurance companies.
