Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, formerly Heritage Hospital, is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro, Edgecombe county and surrounding communities receive a wide range of health services close to home. In addition to acute care, our services include rehabilitation, oncology and outpatient clinics.
The Medical Unit provides care to an adult population. The population consists of two levels of care. Patients may require continuous non-invasive monitoring (telemetry) and are at risk for immediate interventions. Patients may also experience acute exacerbation of acute or chronic medical conditions. The frequent diagnoses are cardiac disease such as CAD, CHF, R/O MI), End Stage Renal and Liver Disease, compromised respiratory disease including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, fluid volume imbalance, Sepsis, CVA, DKA, and Dialysis.
As an Certified Nursing Assistant II (NA II), you will perform specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functions within the framework of the NAII listing granted by the NC Board of Nursing. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services.
