Position Summary

As an Payroll Analyst for Vidant Medical Center, you will be:

  1. Responsible for preparation, balancing and finalization of VMC, Vidant Health and Corporate biweekly payrolls
  1. Responsible for adjustments, corrections and employee transfer verification in the Time and Attendance System   
  1. Assist managers and employees with questions and problems 
  1. Write and Maintain Policies and Procedures 
  1. Assist in training of new Payroll Assistant I's as required 
  1. Train new timekeepers when needed 
  1. Update Time and Attendance Master List as necessary
  1. Additional duties as required

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 2 years of formal training or education 
  • Associate College Degree: Accounting or Business related
  • 2 - 3 years experience in Bookkeeping position
  • Prior payroll experience from large institution
  • One additional year of relevant experience may be substituted for one year of the required education.  Maximum substitution of two years

Other Information

  • Full-Time (40 hours a week)
  • Monday - Friday
  • Hybrid Position:  You will be required to work both on-site and remotely (when needed)
