Pharmacy Technicians are a foundation of the pharmacy department and drive many of the workflow activities. The expectations are to support the mission, vision, and core values of Vidant Health and the pharmacy department. Further expectations are to actively engage in professional self-development and take a proactive approach to learning.
Medication reconciliation technicians work independently, identifying and prioritizing patients to obtain the Best Possible Medication History. The technician will interview the patient to identify medications that are being taken at home validate these medications and enter them into the patient record. The technician should be familiar with the Top 200 Drugs and familiar with computer technology.
