Position Summary

The Point of Care Testing Technologist will assist the Point of Care Testing Coordinator with monitoring institutional compliance with regulations related to point of care testing, including CLIA, JCAHO and CAP regulations and standards. The Point of Care Testing Technologist's primary responsibility is to assist with the daily activities of maintaining the Point of Care Testing section and be the resource person in the absences of the Point of Care Testing Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 year college degree - MT  Medical Technologist
  • MT(ASCP) with at least three years of current laboratory experience is required
  • Knowledge of personal computer systems preferred such as Word and Excel
  • Experience writing technical procedures helpful.  Knowledge of Quality Control procedures required

  • Full time with benefits
  • Hours: primarily day shift with some off shift and/or weekend hours as needed
