The Sr Staff Accountant assists the Controller in all aspects of month end closing procedures including journal entries, reconciliations and preparation of monthly financial statements and statistics reporting package. The Sr Staff Accountant also provides financial reports and analysis to hospital Leadership as requested and appropriate. Additionally, the Sr Staff Accountant serves as a local contact for all financial-related questions, including team member payroll concerns and accounts payable issues. The Sr Staff Accountant is required to provide quality information on a timely basis, maintain a working knowledge of accounting regulatory requirements and guidelines and assist the Controller and CFO with both routine processes and special projects.
The Sr Staff Accountant should work well under direct and indirect supervision, planning and arranging work independently according to deadlines and should effectively communicate all updated priorities, challenges and resource needs.
