Our campus offers four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarean section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.

Position Summary

Perform clinical support services, assist with secretarial/clerical duties and maintain patient care documentation in medical records.

Minimum Requirements

  • HS graduate or equivalent required. One to two years of formal medical assistant or nurse aide training preferred. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider status is required upon hire.
  • Substitution: Formal medical assistant or nursing aide training may be substituted with six months current full time experience in the clinical setting as a Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or CNA.
  • Requires at least three months of relative work experience. Working knowledge of equipment utilization, maintenance and safety.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Other Information

The Outer Banks Medical Group is currently hiring multiple Medical Assistants for the following locations based on the candidate's preference and fit within the department.

  • OBMG Orthopedics & Sports Medicine (Kill Devil Hills, NC): One full-time position available at 32 hours per week
  • OBMG Family Medicine (Nags Head, NC): One full-time position available at 40 hours per week
  • OBMG Women's Care (Nags Head, NC): One full-time position available at 40 hours per week
  • OBMG Urgent Care (Nags Head, NC): One PRN position; hours will vary; may also float to Kitty Hawk
  • OBMG (Float to all locations): One full-time position available at 36 hours per week
