This position will provide Vidant Health expertise to execute on work that creates value by improving operational performance. This role is designed to leverage continuously available data to support the improvement of the healthcare patient care environment. The scope of this position is in both acute and ambulatory operations of the business throughout the enterprise.
The Operational Excellence Specialist implements operational excellence initiatives designed to exceed key performance indicators in quality, experience or finance. This role works in parallel with leadership and brings specialized skills such as lean healthcare, six sigma, RIEs, and balanced scorecard to execute on operational variances. An Operational Excellence Specialists focuses on sourcing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in support of the strategic framework. An Operational Excellence specialist requires an existing knowledge or experience in healthcare operations to enable an understanding of how intersecting operations complement each other. The Operational Excellence Specialist is an active member of operations.
Bachelors' degree required. Degree in Business Project Management, Business, Administration, Engineering or Health related field preferred); other fields will be considered with business-related experience
2+ years interacting with healthcare operations preferred
1+ years of demonstrated experience with operational improvement initiatives preferred
Experience with Lean and Six Sigma preferred
