The Administrative Assistant works with the supervision of the Operations Administrator and provides secretarial support to the Department Managers/Directors when needed. Support includes production of forms, meeting minutes, letters, memos, e-mails, etc. The Administrative Assistant must meet and relate to the public and Health System employees in a cheerful, tactful, and positive manner. The Administrative Assistant performs highly- skilled secretarial and organizational functions in support of the Operations Administrator . He/she takes on special administrative assignments requiring the use of judgment and knowledge of Health System operations. He/she exercises a high degree of autonomy in the work performed, and handles routine and semi-routine administrative matters without advice or assistance. The Administrative Assistant must be familiar with the Health System policies, and operations, as well as Administration structure. He/she works independently to complete specific work projects assigned by the Operations Administrator relative to operation of total Health System or specific patient services; to provide information for evaluation and revision of regulations, procedures, and practices. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing the Operations Administrator office, assisting the Operations Administrator with travel requests, and coordinating department communications when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1.High school diploma or equivalent.
2.Must possess excellent secretarial skills with minimum two years experience.
3.Experience including but not limited to, typing, filing, and excellent phone etiquette, computer skills must include word processing, data base management, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other software.
4.Must have excellent communication skills.
5.Must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere, which is often stressful.
6.Must be flexible in performing duties and be able to quickly learn and perform duties.
