The Program Coordinator assists the Director of Community Outreach & Development in planning, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of Outreach Community events, fundraising programs, and supports the operations of the Outreach Department and the Development Council. Supports the Outreach Department and the Development Council achieve program objectives and overall program mission. Develops relationships with and acts as a liaison to internal and external contacts. Assists with data collection, data entry and other computer needs supporting department objectives as appropriate. Attends staff meetings and assists program staff to meet department needs.
Plans, coordinates, and facilitates a variety of outreach and community programs administered under the Outreach Department. This requires independent oversight of the program to include planning, implementing, decision making and logistical management of the program. Develops and implements proposals for quality programming and event process improvement.
Monitors, tracks and reports budgetary needs as they relate to the Outreach & Community development programs. Tracks annual operating expenses for programs and creates proposals for budget planning, individual event planning and proposed development programming.
Serves as a representative of The Outer Banks Hospital and Development Council in oversight of programs, community partnerships, functions and major presentations.
Documents activities of internal and external collaborative projects for community benefit and community education information and reporting.
Manages program databases for various Outreach, Community, and Development Council programs.
Performs special projects as requested.
Provides assistance to Outreach Department as needed for travel, special events and other business activity.
Provides support for the Department Community Outreach & Development of The Outer Banks Hospital with regard to community outreach, events and programs, and Health Coach scheduling.
Functions as active member of the Community Outreach Team and initiates and plans all logistics for OBH Community outreach events/activities based on the Community Health Assessment and Strategic Marketing Plan.
Takes and responds to requests from the community and coordinates OBH's participation in community events that align with our mission and strategic plan.
Assists the Director of Community Outreach & Development with Development Council activities and events.
Assists with Development Council efforts including organizing Council and community benefit grant committee meetings, taking minutes, running reports, handling mailings, record keeping and other administrative functions associated with the Council as assigned.
Monitors status of all projects on a regular basis, notifying the Director of Community
Outreach & Development when an action is needed to meet deadlines.
Performs general clerical duties for the Department, support Director and staff as needed. This will include photocopying, scanning and faxing as assigned, scheduling meetings and taking minutes.
Assists with Community Outreach events including scheduling venues/rooms, catering, room set-up, sign in sheets, evaluation and record keeping. Schedules meetings and takes minutes.
Works well with respective hospital departments, volunteers and others to ensure accuracy and cooperation.
Collects data and program statistics and generates reports/tables & graphs as indicated to assure communication of program functions and achievements.
Effectively maintains records (hard copy and computer files) in an organized manner necessary for tracking and implementation of projects and events.
Assists with marketing initiatives to increase public awareness of the programs. Assists with department activities and events as needed.
Participates in and assists in coordination of community outreach activities such as health fairs and community educational programs.
Maintains Health Coach Wellness Screening database.
Other duties as assigned.
