Performs all duties associated with registering patients for professional fees, enters charges into hospital system and grant fund information into the designated database for tracking and reporting purposes.
1. Competently performs all duties associated with
registering patients for professional fees.
a. Maintain knowledge of electronic system for registering
patients and entering charges.
b. Verify patient's insurance and contact information.
2. Enters charges from coded encounter forms/charge
sheets into A/R system in a timely manner.
a. Enter patient demographics into computer system.
b. Enter appropriate charge in computer system.
c. Maintains EPIC software workques (charge entry, claim
edit, patient account) at reasonable levels.
3. Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of grant fund
information into the designated database for tracking and
a. Coordinate with inpatient unit to obtain and enter
appropriate charge in designated database.
b. Maintain communication with grant funding individuals at
ECBH to ensure up-to-date knowledge of designated
database and associated matters.
4. Maintain correct knowledge of diagnosis and procedure
code terminology. Possess the ability to identify incorrect
diagnosis, procedure (CPT, ICD-9, DSM-IV codes) and

High school /GED or higher
Business office, clerical and computer experienced. Must be skilled in utilization of office machines
One-year experience in physician reimbursement preferred or experience in medical office environment.
Full-time position, 40 hours per week
Clinic open Monday-Friday, 10:30am -7pm
