About ECU Health Medical Center and the Children's ED
We are the only tertiary facility in eastern North Carolina designed, equipped and staffed with trained emergency pediatric providers and nurses. The services will be provided to infants, toddlers, small children, teens and young adults with an emphasis on patient-family centered care.
The Children's Emergency Department is a 16-bed unit that includes 2 Resuscitation bays. Our goal is to meet the needs of the children and their families by providing safe, child friendly, quality care and incorporating Child Life Specialists. The physician faculty is affiliated with the Brody School of Medicine and teaches medical students, interns and resident physicians.
Position Summary
Minimum Requirements
BSN required. NCRN licensure required.
One year of additional graduate education may be substituted for one year of experience with a maximum substitution of two years.
Two to three years of clinical experience in nursing, one year of which is in the clinical subspecialty required. Prefer previous leadership experience and knowledge of computer applications, such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Groupwise. Time in staffing (functioning in the charge nurse roll) and office time will be based on OIP recommendations for the unit.
