Position Summary

Responsible for the supervision of the 2nd and 3rd Shift staff of the Health Information Services division of Vidant Health. Responsible for the oversight of the 2nd and 3rd shift staff that includes Imaging Services, Analysts, and Release of Information and Duplicate Number staff. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Operations and Director. Serves as back-up for the Manager of HIMS Service Lines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of Associate's degree in Health Information Technology or related field or successful completion of the AHIMA correspondence course/independent study program in HIT required
  • Current certification or eligibility for certification by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required.
  • One to three years, including 1-2 years related HIMS experience is required

  • Hours will be 2:30PM - 11:00PM
