Routinely convene groups within the Vidant Community (VCOM) Hospitals to train and provide updates on Vidant Health grants management policies and procedures, and gain insight on grant suitable needs for those that have or plan to apply for grants.
Coordinate with Vidant Health fundraising resources to ensure the submission of competitive grant proposals.
Maintain community health information. Research and identify grant resources that are compatible with the healthcare needs of eastern North Carolina.
Assist in collecting and maintaining health improvement interests of Vidant Health, specifically VCOM Hospitals.
Prepare and facilitate grant proposals as well as maintain compliance for all grants received by VCOM Hospitals, which includes the evaluation of implemented grant projects.
Minimize grant related risk to the organization, which may result in federal or state contract suspension, debarment, fines and/or other penalties.
Bachelors Degree in Business, Nursing English, Health Education or related.
3 to 4 years experience in Grant writing positions, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Management experience is preferred.
Demonstration of successful grant writing as a component of another job is required.
2 to 4 years experience in community health, outreach and/or engagement required.
