We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Position Summary

Lead Tech will take the lead in several areas, including handling referrals, working to get data on newborn screens submitted monthly, providing orientation and direction for the other techs.

Performs inpatient newborn hearing screenings - primary

Office duties:  maintaining/requesting updated patient referrals, requesting prior authorizations, scheduling, filing

Assists as second tester in soundbooth for Audiologists


Minimum Requirements

High School plus 1-2 yrs of formal training/education - preferred

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Additional training in the field of Audiology; hearing screens- preferred

1-3 years experience in a healthcare setting-required

Other Information

Full time with benefits

Monday to Friday 8-430 with at least one weekend a month and holiday rotation required

Flexibility with holiday/weekend schedule as needs arise
