Our campus offers four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.
In addition, we are affiliated with the Outer Banks Medical Group comprised of multiple primary care, specialty care, and urgent care practices.

The Outreach Nurse Navigator is a specialized health care professional who provides individualized assistance to patients and their caregivers, to facilitate timely access to health care through all phases of the cancer experience.
This individual acts as the liaison for the patient and their caregiver, helping them understand the diagnosis and treatment plan, assisting in locating community-based or national resources, and collaborating with providers & members of the health care team to promote effective symptom management and optimal patient outcomes.
Additional responsibilities include participation in community events such as cancer screenings and health promotions.
Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or temporary North Carolina licensure or meet requirements to hold RN licensure in a compact state. OCN preferred.
Five or more years of nursing experience required. Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to interact with members of the medical and clinical team. The applicant must be willing to both learn and seek solutions to problems in areas of uncertainty.
