Vidant Medical Center is a 900+ bed Level-1 Trauma Center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Vidant Medical Center provides acute, intermediate, rehabilitation and outpatient services to more than 1.4 million people in 29 counties. Position Summary

  • Leads and assists senior hospital and system leadership with planning and execution of special projects and initiatives that includes business development, process development and standardization, system wide strategic initiatives, and operational efficiency projects
  • Participates in individual and group projects, and provides support to Hospital/Clinic Administration
  • Participates in leadership hearings, interacting and obtaining the perspective of the executive staff and department heads
  • Assist in implementation of recommendations, where appropriate. Ensure Vidant Health receives necessary assistance and support to complete the recommended actions and agreed solutions
  • Cooridnates, manages and oversee cross functional project teams to achieve project objectives

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's Degree required
  • Less than one year in a Health Care Environment or Managed Care Organization.  Preferable at least a 3 month internship or other work related experience. 
  • Residents enrolled (and having completed course work requirements) in a program requiring a 24 month administrative residency contingent upon graduation may be substituted for the required Master's degree and experience
