Position Summary

The Radiation Therapist demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age, disease process and cultural/spiritual needs of the patient in a variety of clinical settings.

The Radiaton Therapist is responsible for accurate administration of ionizing radiation to a prescribed area according to a prescribed dose.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current R.T Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technolgist (A.R.R.T.) or Registry Eligible with RT(R) credential obtained within 12 months from hire date or registry eligibility status.
  • Current BLS, if not current at time of hire, must complete within first 6 months of employment and maintain.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
