Position Summary

  • Under the direct supervision of the Administrator of Vidant Health Labor Resource Management, the Vidant Health Labor Resource Operations Manager participates in assessing, developing/ implementing and evaluating innovative staffing and operational solutions/actionable insights that meets Vidant Health's Strategic Plan, as well as patient care needs.

  • The Vidant Health Labor Resource Operations Manager serves as the liaison between Vidant Health entity clients and the choice vendor for electronic workforce management system to ensure effective communication and adoption of technology that enhance operations of each Vidant Health unit/department.

  • The Vidant Health Labor Resource Operations Manager supports business projects through the development lifecycle and provides ongoing assessment and improvements to meet operational needs/business goals/technology advances and best practice outcomes.

  • The Vidant Health Labor Resource Operations Manager collaborates with the Vidant Health Labor Resource Operations team members as well as entity-level leaders to ensure the ongoing effective utilization of real-time workforce solutions and workforce best practices.

  • The Vidant Health Labor Resource Operations Manager supports staffing and patient care for all of Vidant Health through leadership and management of the labor resource pool and contingent workforce team members.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSN required.

  • NC RN license required

  • Masters in a related field preferred (Business, Healthcare related).

  • Management or leadership experience required.

  • Experience with financial management, hospital operations management of labor resources that includes resource reallocation/utilization, delivery of care models and/or units of service for direct patient care and non-patient care areas preferred.

  • Strong analytical and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills.

  • Strong facilitation and above average written and oral communication skills.

  • Highly developed critical thinking and customer service skills.
