Vidant Medical Center is a Baby Friendly designated hospital and a high risk perinatal regional referral center covering 29 counties in eastern North Carolina. This role collaborates with Maternal-Fetal Medicine and a Neonatologist in our 50 bed NICU.
The nurse manager practices in the framework of the mission, vision and values of Vidant Health and maintains 24-hour accountability for unit operations. The manager is a clinical leader with focus on producing excellent patient outcomes, patient and family engagement, workforce management/ development and clinical efficiency. The nurse manager is the front line leader who partners with physicians and manages staff and resources to promote safe, timely, efficient, effective and patient focused unit operations.
