Position Summary

Prepare patient specimens as required for laboratory testing. Perform laboratory tests. Monitor test results to assure test quality and validity. Communicate results in a timely manner, especially those that may be life threatening to the patient.
Maintain properly documented records of activities. Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or education

  • Specify: Medical Laboratory Technician

  • ASCP or HEW eligibility required

  • ASCP or equivalent certification desirable

  • Less than 1 year of experience
