Position Summary

This position will provide Vidant Health expertise to execute on work that creates value, maximizes growth and improves overall business performance. This position will leverage business skills, customer service excellence and strategies to provide objective advice, expertise, and specialized skills needed to execute on large scale change. The scope of this position is in both operations of clinical practice and business processes throughout the enterprise.

The Program Manager is the next professional level of a project manager and is responsible for coordinating programs, projects, and a tactical operation of the division. Programs are usually complex and connect directly as strategic enablers of the strategic framework. Programs are cross-functional in nature, requiring participation across multiple business units; often times requiring increased team member engagement and vendors to accomplish assigned goals. The Program Manager is an active member of the program team and is responsible for leading work as planned, while meeting the stakeholder needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree required. Degree in business project management, business, administration, engineering or health related field preferred); other fields will be considered with business-related experience. Education and years of relevant experience will vary by needs of the designated project or service required
  • Minimum of 5 years in project management, business administration, continuous quality improvement, process improvement, management consulting or other related experience required. Experience in healthcare preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of demonstrated experience with program management required
  • Project Management Professional or Program Management Certification required or within 1 year of hire

Preferred Requirements

  • LSSBB certification preferred
  • Other statistical process controls and/or process accuracy-focused improvement methodologies
  • Healthcare industry/regulatory/change management knowledge preferred
