Information Services at Vidant Health
Vidant Health offers comprehensive Information Technology (IT) services and infrastructure to support and enable all aspects of organizational operations. Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities. All Vidant Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform, including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Vidant Health has achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 recognition and is also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition.
Reporting to the Manager of Windows / Virtualization Server Engineering, this position helps identify opportunities and deploy technical solutions that enable improvements to the delivery of patient care and business operations. Works with a cross functional IS team in the delivery of Windows servers and Virtualization, hardware and software solutions and services. Helps support Back-Office applications, as well as storage, as it relates to the Windows environment. May be asked to lead smaller initiatives in this area.

Windows SCCM Server Experience
PowerShell Scripting expertise
Leads the deployment and maintenance of Windows Servers and Active Directory
Leads efforts to upgrade and maintain virtualization infrastructure, focusing on Citrix infrastructure components and VMware infrastructure components
Perform planned maintenance activities, including OS Security Patching
Maintains accurate and up to date inventory & documentation
Provision, maintain, manage, and monitor Chassis/Blade infrastructure
Implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and configure data protection solutions
Implement, maintain, and support multi-site windows environments along with hardware and software configuration
Provisioning, maintaining, managing and monitoring cloud based infrastructure
Creates and implements automation processes and supports the automation infrastructure
Provide root-cause analysis of IT issues as needed
Collaborate with team members, colleagues, consultants and vendors to effectively analyze and resolve moderate to complex issues
Proactively implement changes to reduce risk and minimize unplanned outage or performance issues
Follow established processes to ensure that issues are resolved and work is performed according to operational standards
Provide on-call support as needed by the business, to 24x7 critical infrastructure operations
Participates in the planning and design of technology architecture roadmaps
Participates in the development of operations policies, procedures and best practices
