Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, formerly Heritage Hospital, is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro, Edgecombe county and surrounding communities receive a wide range of health services close to home. Our partnership with Vidant Health enhances our wide range of services and improves the quality of care our patients receive. More than 20 specialties are represented by Vidant Edgecombe Hospital's medical staff, assuring the people of Edgecombe county that almost all their health needs can be met right here at home. In addition to acute care, our services include rehabilitation, oncology and outpatient clinics.

 

Position Summary

The Nursing House Supervisor provides safe, expedient, cost-effective delegation of hospital staff. The Nursing House Supervisor assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care and assignments for admissions, transfer, and deaths in collaboration with the physicians and other disciplinary team members which is age-appropriate for patients in his/her assigned unit or clinical settings.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or temporary North Carolina licensure or meet requirements to hold RN licensure in a compact state
  • American Heart Association issued CPR Healthcare Provider Certification
  • Advanced Life support certification. If not current at time of hire, must complete and maintain within first 12 months of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Other Information

  • Part-Time (24 hours a week)
  • 12 Hour Shifts
  • Will be required to work 2 day shifts one week and 2 night shifts the following week
