Vidant Medical Center is a 900+ bed Level-1 Trauma Center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Vidant Medical Center provides acute, intermediate, rehabilitation and outpatient services to more than 1.4 million people in 29 counties. Position Summary

Performs all essential tasks and responsibilities related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Actions reflect and demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care in which the patient needs and safety are primary. Ensures that policies, procedures, and regulations are followed to support a culture of accountability, consistency, continuous quality improvement, and safety. Actively learns new skills to enhance the provision of pharmacy services.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent or higher required
  • PTCB certification preferred
  • Registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy  - current or within 30 days of employment is required.
  • 1 year to 3 years experience in retail pharmacy

Other Information

  • As Needed
  • Hours will vary and will consists up to 12 hours a week
  • Some Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm
