The Nursing Supervisor is primarily a Clinical Supervisor for hospital services. He/She is responsible to the Senior Director of Patient Care Services and collaborates with the Nurse Managers to establish and enforce criteria for quality patient care. The Nursing Supervisor functions as the in-house hospital administrator communicating problems as applicable to the hospital administrative staff. Through teaching, direct assistance and guidance of the nursing staff during the designated shift, the Nursing Supervisor assures appropriate delivery of patient care. Demonstrates a broad knowledge of appropriate patient care principles for all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, adults and geriatric patients.
