Vidant Medical Center is a 900+ bed Level-1 Trauma Center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Position Summary

The Senior Consultant of Workforce Experience at Vidant Health will ensure we offer a renowned hybrid, remote and onsite work environment that attracts, develops and retains top talent to achieve our mission. This position helps develop and enhance the team member journey from pre-recruitment to post-employment by creating meaningful experiences that are connected to our values. In this highly visible role, this position builds senior stakeholder relationships and partnerships throughout the organization to ensure talent identification and development are inclusive across all organizational levels.

Minimum Requirements

  • Masters degree required.  Preferred in Organizational Development, Human Resources Development, Organizational Behavior, Industrial Psychology or closely related field
  • Four years of relevant experience in workforce experience, talent mobility, team member engagement, change management or human resources
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and measure strategies to attract, develop and retain top talent
  • Proven experience with engagement and pulse surveys
  • Demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity, well-being and resilience
  • Strong organizational development facilitation and developmental coaching skills
  • Confident facilitator and presenter to all levels in the organization, including C-suite and senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize work for self and team to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Proven experience leading projects from conception through measurement
  • Ability to think strategically by synthesizing data to develop innovative solutions to achieve business goals
  • Proven ability to work effectively with people across all levels of the organization
  • Experience in providing strategic communications counsel to senior executives and leaders with a demonstrated ability to influence
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational change

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in a complex health care system, including an Academic Medical Center
  • Proven results in attracting, developing and retaining top talent in hybrid, remote and onsite work environments
  • HR, Coaching, Process Improvement and Project Management professional certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PMP, CPC, ACC and others
