IT professional responsible for enterprise-wide storage administration, maintenance, storage provisioning, replication, backup, performance monitoring and upgrades for all SAN/storage systems managed by Vidant Health Information Services.
Bachelor's degree or 2 year degree in business, healthcare administration, computer technology, information management or related field strongly desired.
1-3 certifications in related technologies preferred.
3-5 plus years of experience with Enterprise Storage Architecture and a comprehensive understanding of current technologies and methodologies.
Hands-on experience with server operating systems and virtualization technologies.
Hands-on experience with Enterprise storage, Data backup services, replication, and associated enterprise software/hardware platforms.
3-5 plus years of collaborative experience with other technical teams that have shown positive results.
A technically strong individual with 3-5 years of knowledge of healthcare IS solutions strongly desired.
Experience with following standards and maintaining a high level of user trust and confidence in the groups knowledge of and concern for users' business needs.
Able to translate information technology jargon into terms understandable by all audiences.
Understands the practical application of technology and is able to plan for systems today that will carry the organization into the future.
Thoroughly understands customer operations, anticipates needs, and pursues effective and efficient solutions. Experience managing to service level agreements in either an insourced or outsourced professional services operation.
