Vidant Medical Center is a 900+ bed Level-1 Trauma Center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Position Summary

  • This position is responsible for the preparation, set up, service and cleaning of catered events and meetings, along with supply deliveries to various locations throughout the hospital.  They will be responsible for keeping the catering closet and other assigned areas clean, stocked and in good working order. Must be able to interact with customers and use suggestive selling techniques.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English (Bilingual in Spanish is encouraged)
  • Previous institutional or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Previous catering/banquet experience preferred.
  • Ability to complete and maintain a Serve Safe Certification within the 1st year of employment is preferred but not required.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience is required.

Other Information

  • Hours primarily 6;00 am - 3;00 pm but may vary as needed.
