Position Summary

As a Patient Escorter-Transporter I, you will be providing transportation to patients and patient care items, insuring the safety and well-being of patients by means of safety devices and close observation. This includes ensuring the provision of quality patient care during transport, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and assisting appropriate nursing units or departments in transporting lab specimens and medication. Must have great communications skills in performing clerical duties that includes operating single and multiple line phones, responding to general inquiries to patients, visitors, and staff, maintaining confidentiality, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred
  • Previous medical/hospital experience preferred 
  • No related work experience required
  • Current American Heart Association CPR is required.

Other Information

  • Must be flexible to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Required to work one major and minor holiday a year.
