The Team Leader/Specialty Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients in the assigned department, in accordance with established policies and procedures of The Outer Banks Hospital. In collaboration with the patient, the patient's family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, delegates and coordinates treatment plans and the plan of care. The RN will execute physician orders and supervise the implementation of nursing interventions. The RN evaluates response to care through the outcomes of clinical results, patient’s satisfaction and acceptable cost. Responsible and accountable for providing daily leadership and support to assigned department staff to ensure the provision of safe, effective and efficient patient-family centered care and optimal patient satisfaction.
Licensure/Registration/Certification: License as a Registered Nurse, must maintain licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Three to four years related experience
Must have BLS/ACLS upon hire.
Strong prefrence for a BSN.
Strong preference for a candidate with experiene in both Radiology and Cardiology.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position.
Position may be required to be on call.
