Vidant North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility where residents of Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties in North Carolina and Mecklenburg, Brunswick and Greensville in Virginia receive a wide range of health services close to home. In addition to 24-hour emergency care, we also offer intensive care, medical, surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, rehabilitation and therapy services; a cardiac catheterization lab; and outpatient clinics. The nurse manager practices in the framework of the mission, vision and values of Vidant Health and maintains 24-hour accountability for unit operations. The manager is a clinical leader with focus on producing excellent patient outcomes, patient and family experience, team member engagement, workforce management/ development and clinical efficiency. The nurse manager is the front line leader who partners with physicians and manages staff and resources to promote safe, timely, efficient, equitable, effective and patient focused unit operations.
The Cardiac Cath Lab nurse manager supervises all Cath Lab and Cardiology Outpatient Unit (Pre and Recovery area) activities. Vidant North Hospital has one cardiac catherization lab and has a 6-bed Cardiology Outpatient Unit (patient prep and recovery rooms). Ensures that all procedures and cases (cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures) are performed efficiently and appropriately in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for performing a wide variety of management responsibilities relative to scheduling, staff coverages, staffing and delivery of patient care, budget development and compliance, provider and patient satisfaction, strategic planning, performance improvement, and inventory management activities.
