Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Responsible for assisting with direct patient care within the scope of their practice under the supervision and guidance of a licensed nurse. Assist staff and healthcare team to ensure optimal care and to provide and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Document pertinent information in the electronic medical record in accordance with established policies and procedures. Communicates to a licensed nurse any changes in patients' status or any significant changes found when obtaining data. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organizations' vision and mission.
