Vidant Medical Center is a 900+ bed Level-1 Trauma Center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Vidant Medical Center provides acute, intermediate, rehabilitation and outpatient services to more than 1.4 million people in 29 counties. Responsibilities

  • Deliver par levels of linen (exchange carts) to assigned user areas daily and stock linen exchange carts in a timely manner.  Knows the clean linen room operation, less than 10 area assignments, and less than 101 user-area locations.
  • Maintain department par level records of linen deliveries, through use of Linen Management System.
  • Sort scrubs
  • Train new staff to follow policies and procedures.
  • Open and stencil/mark replacement linen as needed.
  • Maintain established department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety and infection control.
  • Perform quality control inspections of linen.
  • Attend in-services and other meetings as scheduled.
  • Perform basic cleaning of Linen Room.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Less than 1 year of related experience.
  • NC drivers license

  • 1:00 am - 7:00 am.
