Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, formerly Heritage Hospital, is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro, Edgecombe county and surrounding communities receive a wide range of health services close to home. Our partnership with Vidant Health enhances our wide range of services and improves the quality of care our patients receive. More than 20 specialties are represented by Vidant Edgecombe Hospital's medical staff, assuring the people of Edgecombe county that almost all their health needs can be met right here at home. In addition to acute care, our services include rehabilitation, oncology and outpatient clinics.
Provides clinical and administrative direction in the efficient and quality operation of Outreach, Clinical and Ambulatory Services for identified departments/service line such as; Cardiopulmonary, Pharmacy, Radiology, Laboratory Services, Environmental Services, Facility/Plant Ops and Rehabilitation Services.
The primary goal of these departments is the delivery of quality, compassionate, culturally competent, cost effective and efficient care to patients, families and other groups throughout the community. The Administrator of Operations serves as a member the executive team.
The Administrator of Operations collaborates with colleagues at the corporate level, assuring communication of activities and utilizing resources as appropriate.
Utilizing their leadership skills, the Administrator of Operations maintains responsibility for the coordination of human, financial, and material resources in a manner which is consistent with organizational goals, vision and mission. The Administrator of Operations actively participates in the organization's leadership functions and collaborates with their staff and other members of the hospital community in designing and providing services.
Bachelor's and Master's degree is in Business, Finance, Healthcare or related area required.
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership and management experience within a hospital or healthcare organization setting required.
Additional training with Lean methodology or Six Sigma is preferred
