Vidant Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina and has 20 practicing physicians on its active medical staff. Vidant Duplin serves Duplin County and surrounding communities in Eastern North Carolina with a population of approximately 60,000 people. On an annually basis, it serves 3,800 inpatients and over 52,000 outpatients (including nearly 30,0000 ED visits), in addition to a surgical volume of 2,050.
Assist in providing direct quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the assessment of patients. Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating/revising the plan of care. Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote and professional development. Develops leadership role within the LPN scope of practice. Participates in Service Excellence Program.
Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
ACLS certification if home unit is PCS, ICU, PACU, or ED; NRP if home unit is the Women¿s Center; PALS if home unit is PCS, ED or OR. If not current at time of hire, must obtain within first 12 months of employment, & thereafter maintain without lapses. NIHSS if home unit is PCS, ICU, 2North and ED. If not current at time of hire, must obtain within first 30 days of employment, & thereafter maintain without lapses.
Non-violent crisis intervention training required for all units. If not current at time of hire, must complete within first 30 days of employment and maintained without lapse during employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
