Is responsible for assisting the manager in the day-to-day operations of the Central Supply Department
Trains CS Technicians in the proper use, assembly, cleaning and delivery of equipment
Supervises the CS supervisors and technicians of the CS Dept. in the proper use, assembly, cleaning and delivery of equipment
Acts as a resource person to other CS technicians in the event of questions or if issues arise
Ensures that the CS staff is scheduled sufficiently to cover the needs of VMC on all shifts
Maintains proper documentation in compliance with TJC and other regulatory agencies
Maintains inventory of the equipment and ensures that the equipment is in good repair and up-to-date with their inspections by Biomedical
Performs administrative tasks as needed
Provides technical assistance to medical staff and other healthcare professionals as needed as it relates to traction equipment and patient beds
Takes call as needed
Participates in daily safety huddles as needed
Makes recommendations on rental equipment when necessary
Ensures that staff keeps a clean and safe working environment
