Information Services at Vidant Health

Vidant Health offers comprehensive Information Technology (IT) services and infrastructure to support and enable all aspects of organizational operations. Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities. All Vidant Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform, including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Vidant Health has achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 recognition and is also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate for this Security Engineer position will be an individual that can work seamlessly across diverse teams. There must be a proven experience designing, implementing and monitoring enterprise security and compliance measures. Have the ability to assess and identify security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps developing technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate findings. This would include creating documentation and training for current and future state security solutions including standard operating procedures and protocols. A Security Engineer would also server as a member of a security incident response team and the development of incident response protocols and standards.

  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication in a professional style, both inside and outside of department, with customers in mind

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work training and experience required
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work training and experience required
  • 1+ Major certifications such as: CCNA, CISSP, CISM, GPEN, OSCP, and other SANS or Offensive Security certifications required, more are preferred
  • 3+ years experience as a security architect designing and implementing security solutions
  • 3+ years relevant experience in workstation and network forensics
  • 3+ years relevant experienced required in enterprise networking and client-server infrastructure.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in operational security, determining risk, and incident response
  • 3+ years experience as a security architect designing and implementing security solutions.
  • 3+ years experience managing endpoint protection, intrusion protection, SIEM, Secure Web Gateway, and Secure Mail Gateway solutions.
