Position Summary

Performs echocardiograms. Performs exercise stress tests and holter monitor application/analysis. Performs other duties such as patient charging, report filing and patient scheduling. Participates in quality monitoring activities for the lab.  May serve as quality improvement unit representative. Serves as a preceptor for new staff and students as assigned. Demonstrates an attitude and behaviors indicative of service excellence. Maintains equipment in working order, including appropriate cleaning and troubleshooting malfunctions.

Minimum Requirements

High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or education
Medical Sonography or related

Licensure, registration or certification required:
RDMS, RDCS, or RCVT required.

More than 1 year but less than 2 years
From work experience in the Graphics Lab at Vidant Medical Center or some other similar facility offering these services.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• 12 hour day shifts that include weekend days
