Phlebotomist - As Needed - Laboratory

Position Summary

The laboratory phlebotomist is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to all patients, visitors and employees of our facility. The phlebotomist performs certain clinical tasks that he/she has been approved to perform through an educational or clinical check-off by a qualified member of the staff to include specimen collection and patient education. The phlebotomist is responsible for the majority of the phlebotomy performed in the hospital. In addition to this, the phlebotomist is responsible for all clerical duties associated with maintaining a well-organized laboratory and assisting with training of phlebotomy students.

Minimum Requirements

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Employee must be able to perform phlebotomy skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in phlebotomy principles and techniques

Other Information

• Part-time position without benefits
• Night Shift - 3rd shift weekend
