Position Summary
A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is a Nuclear Medicine professional that is qualified by professional credentialing and academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using radioactive tracers and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of practice of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, and has demonstrated competency, and has completed the appropriate ARRT (N) and/or CNMT certification(s) which is the standard practice in Nuclear Medicine. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age, disease process, and cultural and spiritual needs of the patient.
