We opened in March 2002 as a joint venture between Vidant Health and Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. Our facility includes eighteen acute care medical-surgical beds, two labor and delivery/recovery/post-partum beds, a level II nursery bed, a designated caesarian section room, three operating rooms, outpatient and diagnostic services along with a 24-hour emergency department. Affiliated with The Outer Banks Hospital is The Outer Banks Medical Group (a Vidant Medical Group partner) which is comprised of nine physician practices.
As a community hospital, we offer a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services. We meet the health care needs of our coastal community, whose year-round population of 35,000 swells to 250,000 in the summer months.

Provides safe, expedient, cost-effective Outpatient Scheduling services. As a member of a team of healthcare professionals, a PSC is responsible for the scheduling of Outpatient procedures and appointments. PSCs behave in a manner consistent with the standards and ethics of Vidant Health. PSCs are also responsible for ensuring a positive first impression by using professional communication, clear enunciation and by greeting all callers with a smile and genuine attitude.
High School plus specialized training min 6 months to 2 years or higher
Zero to two years related experience
This is a PRN position; there are no guaranteed hours.
The hours are based on the needs of the department.
This position is not eligible for team member benefits.
