DUPLIN COUNTY, NC – Duplin County and the surrounding region are being served by two new Vidant physicians, bringing expertise in women’s care and family medicine.

Dr. Melissa Rowe has joined Vidant Women’s Care in Kenansville, offering obstetrics and gynecology for women of all ages.

Look to Dr. Rowe for expertise in pregnancy care, family planning, abnormal uterine bleeding, incontinence issues, menopause and minimally invasive surgery. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.

“Women’s health is my passion,” Dr. Rowe said. “By listening to women’s concerns and doing a careful exam, I can help them understand their diagnosis. Then, together we can discuss options for treatment and address their health concerns as a team.”

Dr. Melanie Sanders has joined Vidant Family Medicine in Wallace, offering comprehensive care for the entire family – newborn to adult, with a focus on women.

A native of Beulaville, Dr. Sanders completed medical school and residency at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, earning numerous awards.

“I’m excited to be returning home to Duplin County,” she said, “and continuing the tradition of local health care this practice offers.”
