Michael Tidwell, an acute care nurse practitioner, joined Leo Jenkins Cancer Center, located at 600 Moye Blvd., on Jan. 9.
Tidwell earned a Master of Science in acute care nurse practitioner/oncology nursing from the University of Maryland. His areas of interest include hematology and oncology. “I am looking ahead to a positive step forward in my career and move to eastern North Carolina,” Tidwell said.
Tidwell will be working alongside Drs. Darla Liles, Charles Knupp and Andrew Weil, providing benign and malignant hematology services to the patients of eastern North Carolina. Tidwell brings more than 18 years of hematology/oncology nurse practitioner experience to Vidant Health.
