Janelle Murphy, a certified physician assistant, joined Vidant Neurosurgery – Greenville, located at 2325 Stantonsburg Road, on Feb. 1.

Murphy earned a Master of Science in physician assistant studies from Central Michigan University. She previously worked for Duke University and Marquette General Hospital. Her areas of interest are neurosurgery, trauma and critical care.

“I am excited and honored to begin working with the Vidant Neurosurgery group and look forward to the many friendships and professional relationships that I know will arise from this great opportunity,” Murphy said. “I think it’s very important to find a community that makes you feel welcome and valuable and helps you flourish on both a personal and professional level.
