Responsibilities

Act as strategic, trusted partners to assigned client groups.

  • Functions as a fully integrated team member in the operations of assigned areas.
  • Acts as a primary point of HR contact for employees and managers in assigned areas.
  • Facilitates solutions that contribute to business goals, objectives and priorities.
  • Provides comprehensive Human Resources consultation, guidance and support.
  • Works with leaders to coach, develop, and build engagement among team members.
  • Maintains utmost confidentiality in all dealings.

Drive talent and performance management in partnership with Organizational Development.

  • Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes via talent and performance management.
  • Participates in talent review and succession planning activities.
  • Executes on performance management cycle including goal setting, mid-year and year-end reviews.

Handle complex employee relations issues.

  • Addresses issues in partnership with management with a calm, reasonable response.
  • Identifies trends and addresses more broadly where needed.
  • Collaborates with peers to address common issues in a systematic and consistent manner.

Partner with HR Areas of Expertise to deliver the right services to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Proactively supports the delivery of HR processes at the client's side.
  • Works with Recruiting to ensure hiring of the best candidates.
  • Partners with Compensation for all related needs, including analyzing and pricing new positions, addressing competitive issues, and articulating Vidant's compensation philosophy.
  • Collaborates with OD on training and individual and team development needs within the client group, and leadership/support of change management activities.
  • Advocates for Vidant's Diversity and Inclusion Plan, and ensures corresponding and supportive plans within assigned areas.

Minimum Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is required.
  • Ten plus years progressive experience in HR leadership, including demonstrated success in developing/leading HR Business Partnership models is required. Experience in healthcare human resources.
